follow these steps to extract your Instagram login cookies from Google Chrome. This is useful for automating tasks or integrating with software that requires authentication.
Step 1: Open Instagram and Log In
- First, go to the Instagram homepage (https://www.instagram.com/) and log in to your account. Ensure you are successfully authenticated before proceeding.|
Step 2: Open Chrome Developer Tools
- Right-click anywhere on the Instagram webpage. From the context menu, select "Inspect" (or "Check" in English browsers) to open Chrome's developer tools. The tools panel may appear on the left, right, or bottom of the window—you can drag and reposition it based on your preference.
Step 3: Switch to the Network Tab and Clear Entries
- In the developer tools panel, click on the "Network" tab to view network activity. If there are already URL entries listed, click the gray circle icon (clear button) to clear the output and start fresh.
Step 4: Refresh the Page to Capture Cookies
- To capture the cookies for the current page, refresh the Instagram homepage. You can do this by clicking the refresh button in the browser (as indicated in the image) or by pressing Ctrl+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+R (Mac). This will generate network requests in the Network tab.
Step 5: Locate the Instagram Homepage URL in the Network List
- After refreshing, the Network tab will display a list of URLs. Since you are on the Instagram homepage, look for the exact URL (e.g.,
https://www.instagram.com/) in the list. It may be buried among other entries; scroll to the top of the list to find it quickly, as it is usually one of the first requests.
Step 6: Copy the Cookies Value
- Once you find the Instagram homepage URL in the left-hand list, click on it to view details. On the right side, scroll down through the headers and parameters until you see the "Cookies" section. Here, you will find a string of cookie values. Copy the entire cookies string (usually a long text) and paste it into your software interface as needed.
